Privacy notice
This notice explains what we collect to run Segel and what we do not do with it.
This is a plain-language draft for the pilot. Have counsel review it before a paid public launch.

What we collect
Account details (name, email, organization), document metadata, the PDFs you upload, approval actions, comments, IP address, and user agent for the audit log.

Why we use it
To authenticate you, route approvals, create the audit record, seal the document, send notifications, prevent abuse, and support the organization.

Storage and retention
Documents are stored in Backblaze B2. Audit retention follows the plan. Free plan records are kept for one year. You can export the sealed record and audit packet.

Sharing
We use infrastructure providers for hosting, storage, email, and timestamping. We do not sell personal data. We disclose data when required by law or to protect the service.

Security
Access is scoped to organization membership. Files are private and served through authenticated links. No system is perfectly secure; report a concern to hello@horulabs.com.

Your choices
You can request access, correction, or deletion of account data. Some audit records must be retained to preserve the approval trail. Contact the organization admin first.
